about

I kept hearing this progression in my head, but nothing would gel. Until me and my best bud Tim Frisby were wandering the streets of New York City and we noticed a lovely little lass sitting in a coffee shop staring out the window with a forlorn look on her face. I thought it odd that millions upon millions live and work in the city and loneliness still runs rampant. In our travels, we saw "I Dream of Love" tagged on the sides of buildings all over Brooklyn. Then it dawned on me. Love and longing are part of the human condition, wherever you may roam. So when you find love, that special someone, follow them anywhere. New York, Tennessee, Istanbul, yes, even Detroit. Tim and I put the lyrics together at a bar. Imagine that. My first co-write with the Fris. So there's that. If this track is any indication, I can only imagine more to come. So there's that, which is nice.

lyrics

FOLLOW YOU ANYWHERE

This is a city of conversation
Sad girl in the window lookin’ out
How can lonely be so common
With ten million people around

I’d follow you anywhere
Follow you anywhere
All the way to New York City
Follow you anywhere

Lost only knowing where we’re going
Brave
Enough to fall
I dream
I dream of love
Hey don’t we all

I’d follow you anywhere
Follow you anywhere
All the way down to Tennessee
Follow you anywhere

Talk about tenacity
A real sense of possibility
When you cry tears from the future
They go all the way back to the past

I’d follow you anywhere
Follow you anywhere
All the way to Istanbul
Follow you anywhere

I’d follow you anywhere
Follow you anywhere
All the way to Detroit City
Follow you anywhere

I’d follow you anywhere
Follow you anywhere
All the way to the salty sea
Follow you anywhere
