This song is classic db. It kills in a quiet, listening room set-up. Written on one of my many sojourns to the Gulf Coast, and a little Texas ta-boot, it tells the tale of loneliness and longing. I had intended to have an affair, but we couldn't. We just couldn't. The words she said became the title of this song. It still stings a little, but Jen Regas said it reminded us all how we stray, in heart if not in deed. I liked that analysis. And I love the song. It has been edited from the original version on Dance Like No One's Watching, and yes, my inspiration for the solo came from Rick Oltman's original. You should check it out.
